"The split finger threw my partner off a few times after replacing our previous oven gloves, but it becomes normal quickly and then you realize how useful it is! We've tried numerous silicone/grilling mitts and gloves over the years but they all end up losing protection while collecting mess. Investing in these gloves is a break from the frustration! They are thick enough to hold my cast iron loaf tin while it's hot and the heat doesn't slowly seep into your fingers! I managed to get cake batter and flour on them the first week we had them, but it wiped right off with a damp cloth and it didn't get stuck in the fabric fibers. Not only can it comfortably handle my heavy cast iron, it's a breeze to grab thin baking sheets of chips. As usual, Joseph Joseph made a well designed quality product that makes us regret buying anything else!"

"Myself and my husband have TRIED to use these glove’s, they are really awkward, they do not grip, ended up using a towel. I would not recommend these."

"The silicon palm provides a good, secure grip on pots and pans and prevent steam penetrating. The down side is that they are stiffer than other oven mitts and take some getting used to."
